Prologue

WIP : World map.
Context :
Not far from a flat plain was a flying island.
This island was called Etophy and was populated by 17 witches and wizards. They all had one thing in common: to obtain their powers, they had to pay the price.
This power was called "Iuramentum vitae" or "oath of life."
The process for obtaining this power was simple: Twice a year, the Soft Moon aligned with "Clair de Vie", the second planet in the system. The oath was taken in the square of Etophy. The other witches and wizards agreed on a power that would be beneficial to their group. Depending on their luck, the power granted by Clair de Vie could be the same or similar to their wishes.
Sometimes it didn't matter much, as in the case of Zephillian, who could float, but only 1.5 meters above the ground, and walking too much hurt his legs.
But for others... Like Future, it was completely different: she was "a witch who sees what will be, but forgets what has been."
At least, that's how Zephillian described Future.
Calysi creation :
Near the floating island was a tyrannical kingdom where the king cared only for the richest people. This kingdom was called Malum. The survival rate for peasants was barely 10%. The wizards and witches of the Sky could not stand by, doing nothing. But Comet was opposed to doing anything.
During one of Comet and Future's many travel journey, the other wizards and witches of the Sky created Calysi, a peninsula attached to an unknown land.
Calysi would welcome these poor humans seeking to flee from the tyrannical king.
The "Plain"
In her purest madness, Penelope, the youngest of the witches, who controlled luck and wishes, created the Plain. With this place, she also created an urban legend.
It is said that if you plant a Ramosy seed in this plain and make a wish, your wish will come true and its result will be found at the foot of a Ramosy.
Upon her return, Comet, though annoyed that the others had gone against her opinion about Calysi, tested the legend. Three days later, among the trees, Comet's wish was granted: a black rose, darker than night. It was impossible for nature alone to create such a plant.
Comet changed his mind and let Calysi flourish.
The real beginning:
"Why... Why did you do it without me...? Without even asking me... Without even inviting me... What was your plan, old man..." Comet was on the verge of tears.
She was holding the Ancestor by the throat. Everyone else was on the ground, begging Comet in vain to stop all of this.
"Comet, please, let me explain...", said the old man, "We needed this power... For our survival."
Comet threw the old man against a wall. "You ruined my child's LIFE!" she said between sobs, "I kept her away from all of you for ONE reason, and you ruined everything!"
Future arrived just in time to calm the situation, alerted by Penelope.
"Future! I've spent the last 20 years protecting you from all this crap. Why are you forgiving them?! They've ruined your life!"
- "Mom, I'm fine. I swear...," said Future, hugging her mother. We'll deal with it. I'm still here, by your side. I'm still your daughter, the one you spent your whole life raising."
Comet fells into tears in her daughter's arms.
This isn't the first time she's having a breakdown. Maybe she'll feel better later.
